Alan is the Head of Business Rates at DWD and has more than 30 years experience in the UK business rates industry with a rounded knowledge of all sectors and expertise in complex and high value appeals.

Expert in Business Rates, Alan specialises in advising on technical and legal issues, with extensive experience of negotiating appeal settlements and taking cases to tribunal. In addition to traditional case work, Alan takes personal ownership of the business rates affairs for a number of significant clients.

Particular areas of specialisation include large offices, West End retail, bespoke restaurants and the management of deletion appeals for both developers and occupiers undertaking construction activities.
