Louise Braine
Louise is a chartered town planner with over 9 years’ experience. She joined DWD in 2021 having previously worked in the public and private sector. Louise has worked across a range of sectors, including residential, student accommodation, retail and commercial.
As part of a team focused on energy infrastructure at DWD, Louise prepares applications under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Development Consent Order regime under the Planning Act 2008. This includes projects across the UK for solar farms and carbon capture, usage and storage.
Louise has experience across the planning process, including preparing and managing a range of planning applications. This involves co-ordinating and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams and monitoring the applications post submission, including negotiating with local authorities. Louise’s experience also includes preparing planning appraisals across a variety of sectors; preparation of local plan representations to promote sites; and preparing and managing appeal submissions.
