Gabriel Cooper

Gabriel is a Planner working on the delivery of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) relating to energy and infrastructure. He holds both onshore and offshore experience across solar and wind. Gabriel works across several DCO-scale energy projects at varying stages along the DCO process. Cumulatively, his projects have the ability to deliver up to 4.25GW of renewable energy to Grid.

Prior to joining DWD in October 2023, Gabriel worked across the Cottam and West Burton Solar Projects which, when combined and if consented, will possess 1.08GW of grid export potential. Gabriel worked across both Cottam and West Burton Solar Projects from a late pre-application stage through to an early examination stage – particularly for Cottam.

Gabriel holds a First-Class degree in Urban Planning, Design and Management from University College London
