Ben Shaw

Ben is a Planner, who has been part of the team for two years. Ben primarily works on Energy projects, working on both Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and Local Planning Applications (TCPA). Examples of projects that Ben has worked on include the Beacon Fen Solar Farm DCO, Grain BESS and Spennymoor GGP. Ben has experience in writing comprehensive planning documents, researching national and local policy and leading subconsultants in order to ensure deadlines are met.

Before joining DWD, Ben earned his integrated masters degree in Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Sheffield. Ben also has experience working in a planning consultancy within Surrey. Within this previous position, Ben advised on projects across the south, ranging from small residential projects to large filming projects.
