Ben Shaw

Ben is an Assistant Planner, who has recently joined the team at DWD. He is a member of a large team, working primarily on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. Most recently, Ben has been working on a couple of large DCO solar farms, as well as some smaller applications. This includes assisting in policy research, working on documents to accompany applications and drafting statements.

Before joining DWD, Ben earned his integrated masters degree in Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Sheffield. Ben also has experience working in a planning consultancy within Surrey. Within this previous position, Ben advised on projects across the south, ranging from small residential projects to large filming projects.
