SuDS in London a guide

DWD was part of a team that advised Transport for London on the production of a guidance document for the provision of sustainable urban drainage systems (SuDS) in London.

The document sets out how SuDS can be incorporated into London’s streets and wider public realm. It highlights potential opportunities and constraints and aims to encourage the relevant authorities across London to consider their streetscape and the possibilities of successfully integrating SuDS.

DWD’s role was to advise on the planning implications of SuDS and to ensure the document took account of relevant planning considerations, including the London Plan and other planning policy documents.

The document went on the win the ‘Transport and Infrastructure’ category at the New London Architecture Awards.
