EXPERIENCE
HS2, IBIS Hotel, Euston
We are currently providing compensation and strategy advice to Accor Hotels UK and Ireland following the acquisition of their 380 bed IBIS hotel next to Euston railway station for the purposes of the High Speed 2 railway between London and Birmingham.
We previously liaised with their legal team including Counsel in the preparation of representations against the HS2 Bill and presented Expert evidence to the HS2 Parliamentary Select Committee. Following the HS2 Bill receiving Royal Assent in February 2017 we negotiated a closure program with HS2 enabling the orderly vacation and handover of the hotel in late 2017.
We are now liaising with the client’s legal and consultancy team regarding the compensation claim and advance payment request in respect of the market value of the interests acquired and business disturbance including the costs of vacation and relocation of staff and business assets.
