The London Borough of Sutton granted planning permission earlier this month at Planning Committee for a 35 unit residential scheme in Carshalton.
DWD has been working with Caerus Developments for the last 18 months on development proposals for the site. We have provided planning advice from the planning feasibility stage through to the grant of planning consent. The site?s existing lawful use is a timber merchant and newsagents. Extensive pre- application engagement was undertaken with the Council, local residents, Councillors and Sutton?s Design Review Panel. DWD worked closely with the architectural team on the development of the scheme to arrive at a proposal that officers were very supportive of.
The approved scheme comprises of a part 3 part 4 storey building, 35 units including 35% affordable homes by habitable room, on site parking and shared amenity space. The planning officer described the development as an exceptional design in their Committee Report.
