Tom Watson
Tom is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with over 15 years’ experience across the private and public sectors.
He has led end-to-end delivery of Development Consent Orders (DCOs), from early optioneering through consultation, Examination and post consent implementation. He has advised on more than 40 nationally significant infrastructure projects, providing leadership of consenting strategy, stakeholder engagement, design development and risk management. Tom has also held strategic roles for infrastructure promoters, providing portfolio level consenting advice.
Tom has supported major infrastructure programmes in water resources, electricity networks, renewable energy, nuclear power, carbon capture, industrial development and rail. He is experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams across consenting, environmental, engineering, stakeholder and lands workstreams and has acted as an Expert Witness at Hearings.
