Dr Fae Mackay

Dr Fae Mackay has over 10 years’ of planning experience within the private and public sector, specialising in strategic planning and development management.

In the UK, she has worked in the private sector preparing planning applications for listed building consent and change of use, as well as planning appraisals and local plan representations.  She has also supported a multidisciplinary team on a new town promotion.

She also holds a PhD through the EU Horizon 2020 RECITY-ITN project, jointly supervised by the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in Germany and Cambridge Architectural Research in the UK. Her research focused on assessing urban approaches to improve climate resilience in coastal port-industrial regions.

In South Africa, she worked as Professional Planner for the City of Cape Town municipality, contributing to residential, mixed use and commercial projects.

At DWD, Fae will support a range of DCO and TCPA applications working within multidisciplinary teams across sectors.
